How to use

Please see for details how to get started and configure this photomode mod, General features and configuration. This guide will provide additional information for the controls / features specific for this photomode mod.

Info

If you don't see the Crysis3Remastered.exe process in the Process to inject to textbox, please click the Select button to select it manually. Additionally, if you're running the game as Administrator (you don't have to, btw), and the IGCSClient.exe does not, it can't see the Crysis2Remastered.exe process. In that case, restart the IGCSClient.exe as Administrator.

Environment Adjustments

The Environment Adjustments tab is the tab where you can adjust various aspects of the game world. For Crysis 3 Remastered it allows you to control the following:

Game speed
This controls how fast the runs internally; a value of 1.0 is 'normal game speed' and a value of 0.0 is total pause. Use this to create slow-motion effects which help you pause the game at the right moment.

Information recorded with camera path nodes

When you create a Camera path, each node records the camera location, orientation and field of view.

Tools specifics

Third person view

When you press F1 (a hard coded key in the game engine that's unlocked by the tools), you'll see Prophet in 3rd person view. You can use this in shots to have a character in view. There are some issues with it, like the weapon will become visible when you're cloaked and a bow isn't fully textured.

Hud toggle

The HUD toggle is included in this camera's archive. Place the contents of the HUDToggle folder in the folder <crysis3remastered installation folder>\Bin64 To toggle the HUD and other crap on screen, press the CAPS LOCK key. To show the hud again, press CAPS LOCK again.

Pause / timestop

The pause / timestop in this camera is the same as the gamespeed, it's set to 0 when you press Numpad 0.

Hotsampling and pause

There's a problem with hotsampling and when you have the game paused: the engine will slowly fade in after a resolution change, however when the game is paused, the screen will stay black. To get rid of this, you have to unpause the game, wait till the screen has faded in properly, then pause again.

Vegetation and pause

When you have the game paused and move the camera around, vegetation isn't loaded in for areas that weren't visible when you paused the game. Unpausing the game will load them in.

Unlocked CVars and console commands

The tools unlock all cvars in the game, so you can utilize them in the console (press ~ to open the console). One benefit of this is to play in 3rd person by pressing F1 (this is a hardcoded keybinding by the game). Another is to enable 'time of day', by typing sv_timeofdayenable 1 and then set the time of day using e_TimeOfDay hh.mm where hh.mm is a number, so to set the time to 11AM, you can use e_TimeOfDay 11.0. (After you've enabled it with sv_timeofdayenable 1).

The engine has a lot of cvars you can try. Use ?fragment (e.g. ?shadow) to get all cvars and commands with that fragment. To get help on a command or cvar type cvar ? for instance e_TimeOfDay will give the help on the cvar e_TimeOfDay.
